The general motif or subject matter is the scenic view of Mt. Rainier peaking over the tree line, one skill I acquired while painting this is using paint strokes show design like in the grass in the front(lower quadrant) where I painted vertically up with the brush to look like grass coming from the ground. The main art element I used in this assignment would be texture,space,line,form and color. Some design elements I used are shape and the car's proportioned. The overall feeling is happiness since everything is bright and it's a nice day captured in the landscape.
This is my self portrait, it is composed of water color paint. The art elements I used in this paining are form, shape, color, value and texture. Drawing myself wasn't that much of a challenge but multiply that by three and it becomes difficult. The mood or general feeling I receive from this is happiness and progression.
Water Color Leaf: I had a hard time blending and fading colors together at first but I got the hang of it and applied it in this leaf painting, the red fades/blends to a light green accurately portraying the real-world leaf i copied this from.
